Alien abduction claimants (also known as abductees and experiencers) are people who have claimed that they have been abducted by extraterrestrials. The term “abduction phenomenon” describes claims that non-human beings have kidnapped individuals and temporarily removed them from familiar terrestrial surroundings. The abductors, usually interpreted as extraterrestrial life forms, are said to subject experiencers to forced medical examinations that focus on the alleged experiencer’s reproductive system.The first alien abduction account to receive widespread publicity was the abduction of Barney and Betty Hill in 1961. Since then, the credibility and mental health of alleged experiencers have become important considerations for those attempting to determine the truthfulness of abduction claims. Mainstream academics and members of the skeptical movement generally doubt that the phenomenon occurs literally as reported and have proposed a variety of alternative explanations.

The Bermuda Triangle has been synonymous with strange events and mysterious disappearances ever since the discovery of the Americas. However, iron is rarely found in excavations from ancient Egypt.The Egyptians did not know how to extract iron from iron ore, so they had only one source of the hard metal: meteorites.Some of these solid bodies from space contain pure iron, which Egyptian blacksmiths were able to hammer into tools at the forge.Meteorites are rare, however—and only about six percent of them contain iron—so the metal was available only in very limited quantities.As a result, knives like the one buried with Tutankhamun were regarded as princely treasures, and the Egyptians most likely viewed meteorites as gifts from the gods to the pharaoh.
