Ep 6: Keeping Up With The Troublemakers

Season 1, Ep. 6

SO... the elephant in the room is that we didn't post on time for 2 weeks. Apologies guys, there was a technical hitch and when we thought it was solved... it got us again. Quarantine is testing, some of us are busier than ever and things are harder to solve. With that in mind, this weeks episode is a general catch up, what have we been doing? Faz has learned electrics, Melina is healthy eating and Aisha is tattooing herself (true story). Get to know us a bit better, it's like being a fly on the wall in the girls group chat. --- Instagram: www.instagram.com/troublepodcast -- Twitter: www.twitter.com/alrighttrouble -- Facebook: www.facebook.com/alrighttrouble -- TikTok: AlrightTrouble

  • 9. Mini Ep 4: WUU2?

    47:18
In this minisode we talk about what we are doing during quarantine and the pros and cons of some down time. Eating well, shopping less and quitting vices... but it's not all sweet and innocent. We also cover flirting on houseparty, wearing comfy clothes and whether men will still be on their bullsh*t when we are all free. Make sure you are listening to this from your home or on your government approved, singular trip outside. Enjoyyyy! --- Instagram: www.instagram.com/troublepodcast -- Twitter: www.twitter.com/alrighttrouble -- Facebook: www.facebook.com/alrighttrouble -- TikTok: AlrightTrouble
  • 8. Ep 5: Straight Facts, Fiction and Conspiracy Theories

    01:10:09
This week the troublemakers are remotely discussing conspiracy theories and things in between. What is a conspiracy? Who are conspiracy theorists? Are there any that we believe in? They talk aliens, psychedelic drugs, Tupac being alive, DMT, pyramids, reptillians, slenderman, moon landings, David Ike and things that go bump in the night. • 7. Ep 4: Crush Your Celebrity

    37:42
This week the band are back together talking about Celebrity Culture. Don't panic, this was recorded remotely and on that note this episode is a little shorter because Aisha had a microphone issue and there were some sound glitches (we had to take a few chunks out) BUT it's a juicy episode, albeit during a mass pandemic and 15 mins shorter than we wanted. Aisha stans Frank Ocean and the Kardashians. Faz is obsessing over Joe Exotic and Melina can't understand why celebrities don't date regular, degular folk. We talk about our faves, who we'd be stuck on a desert island with, what does celebrity mean to us and more. Make sure you are listening to this from your home or on your government approved, singular trip outside. • 6. Mini Ep 3: Political Correctness...

    29:04
Disclaimer: This episode is not for those faint-hearted -- The gang explore why political correctness is a ‘touchy subject.’ They agree with the sentiment that comedy is not the place for being politically correct, the culture of ‘@’ing is discussed and everyone agrees that society is pushing us to become a ‘generic blob and playing to neo-liberal market forces.’ It comes down to ‘intent’, if you want to say something; say it with your chest: AND THEN RUN. Aisha destroys the internet with ‘Feminists just shouldn’t listen to music.’ The gang look at Eddie Murphy’s career from being a dope un-PC comic to a watered down version of himself in his film career and Faz stans for Dave Chappelle. We discuss how annoying it is when others act annoyed on your behalf and claim sub-identities. --- Instagram: www.instagram.com/troublepodcast -- Twitter: www.twitter.com/alrighttrouble -- Facebook: www.facebook.com/alrighttrouble -- TikTok: AlrightTrouble
  • 5. Ep 3: No Money, No Honey!

    01:18:08
This week Aisha and Faz are joined by ‘Dorian’ and ‘Brisk’ (obvs their street names), we tried to protect their names; but their real names might have slipped through a few times.. Ahem. We talk about money, the history of money, why we use money, who the richest person alive was and what happens when you get into trouble with money: DEBT. Aisha learns that money doesn’t come from trees, Faz is convinced that cavemen exchanged axes for mammoths, and hence money attaches value to the things being exchanged. Europeans snatched the idea of coins and notes, and discovered Africa and India: and we all know what happened there... The ‘Museum of Theft’ refuses to give back the Elgin Marbles. The gang’s minds are blown by the fact that the richest person alive was Mansa Musa. Aisha’s money motivation comes down to ‘bare drip,’ Dorian spends his money in ways that cannot be mentioned in polite company, Brisk’s life won’t change that much with £10k. OK THEN. Dorian’s quite angry about not having any money, Sonny urges us to have ‘multiple streams of revenue'. ** https://www.moneysupermarket.com/ ** https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/ ** https://thefinancialdiet.com/ ** https://skintdad.co.uk/ ** --- Instagram: www.instagram.com/troublepodcast -- Twitter: www.twitter.com/alrighttrouble -- Facebook: www.facebook.com/alrighttrouble -- TikTok: AlrightTrouble
  • 4. Mini Ep 2: Skinny Jeans Ruined Everything!

    24:42
In this week's mini episode, Aisha claims that skinny jeans ruined everything, Melina and Faz are cult leader fan girls and Rebecca tries to join a gym but ends up almost being recruited into Scientology (but how?)! If your Grandparents have ever been part of a hippy cult, you've ever been tempted by a 'rent-a-hug' service or remember the days when you could tell the difference between goths, geeks, chavs, plastics... then give us a listen and think about something other than *Cardi B voice* Corona Virus. --- Instagram: www.instagram.com/troublepodcast -- Twitter: www.twitter.com/alrighttrouble -- Facebook: www.facebook.com/alrighttrouble -- TikTok: AlrightTrouble
  • 3. Ep 2: What’s your Love Language bruh?

    01:04:25
In this week’s episode, ‘What’s your love language bruh’, the troublemakers talk about all kinds of relationships: romantic/non-romantic and discuss how they have dealt with loss. Bex teaches us about polyamory, Faz’s Love Language is ‘petty’ and Swahili. Melina’s yiaya is a lowkey youtube celebrity. Drug Dealers know the best spots to eat, Melina and Rebecca’s Love Languages are physical touch and quality time. Aisha’s love language is ‘words of affirmation and acts of service’, she also doesn’t need closure but can’t be ignored. Rebecca blocks a lot of Cis men, Faz barely registers people she goes out with, and Melina skim reads an article that suggests if you stay friends with an ex, it means you’re a narcissist and psychopath… the others aren’t so sure. <3 This week’s episode is dedicated to Meena, Faz’s sister who passed away in February 2018. --- Gary Chapman: The Five Love Languages: https://www.5lovelanguages.com/5-love-languages -- Melina and her Yiaya youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puysrJzwJ00 -- Love is Blind: https://www.netflix.com/title/80996601 --- Instagram: www.instagram.com/troublepodcast -- Twitter: www.twitter.com/alrighttrouble -- Facebook: www.facebook.com/alrighttrouble -- TikTok: AlrightTrouble
