She is also a classically trained opera singer, a multi-award-winning pageant queen and a stand up comedy star too with her fantastic show One Slue Over The Cuckoo’s Nest. She identifies as pansexual, polyamorous and non-binary and in her own words “loves people”. She uses her platform to educate about inclusion in sport and raise awareness about trans issues. Her own personal journey has been a difficult one and even though she knew she was trans at an early age it wasn’t until she reached the age of thirty that she was finally able to follow her dreams and transition. His singing career after the show resulted in a top three single, a top 30 album and working with stars like Enrique Iglesias and Sean Paul but his time in the spotlight was short-lived and peppered with fear that his hidden sexuality would be revealed to the world. Matt has always known that he was queer but for many years kept it secret from everyone due to his own insecurities and internalised fears.
