That Time Of The Month: Period Sex, Vagina Shame, STIs And Everything You Don’t Want To Ask Your Mum About

Hi everyone and welcome back to That Time of the Month. This is our last episode in our three-part series, so we wanted to get down to the nitty-gritty and speak about everything from period sex to the shame surrounding STIs (when they’re so common that 1 in 2 people under the age of 25 who are sexually active would’ve had one), to vagina shame and vulva disparity. 75 per cent of women think that having a labia minora that protrudes beyond the labia majora is abnormal when, in actual fact, 50 per cent of women have vaginas that look that way. Is porn solely to blame for this way of thinking? Are men? Are we? Then it's over to Hannah Crerar. Hannah’s career started as a lawyer, then she moved into studying psychology and is now pioneering a path in what she calls ‘soul psychology’, which blends modern psychological principles with spiritual practices like meditation, astrology and human design. We talk to Hannah about the importance of building a strong relationship between your mind and body, how the moon impacts your cycle, how to break down the shame we as womxn have been so conditioned to feel, and - naturally - whether some star signs just shouldn't date.

For this series, we’ve partnered with Me., the new period care brand that has been designed to be displayed proudly and openly on your shelf—not hidden away. Me. is committed to championing a new narrative around period care through empowering campaigns, collaborations and charity partnerships, holding space for all people with periods and the issues that are important to them.
