Which brings us to our big topic - Caroline Flack, the British TV presenter who tragically died by suicide this week. Many have dubbed hers a ‘death by media’ or ‘death by trolling’, adding to an ongoing question about how to handle the mainstream media’s reckless harassment of (mainly young and female) celebrities. Where do we lay the blame? And how can we, as individuals, strive to be kinder - both to people in the public eye and the people in our own lives? To investigate, we open up about our own experiences with mental health and depression

Beyond Blue provides nationwide information and support regarding anxiety, depression, and suicide. It has a helpline which can be reached by calling 1300 22 4636. The helpline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition, the organisation also provides online chat from 15-24.
