Hello everyone! Welcome to our second episode of Acoustics Spotlight. This podcast is aimed at everyone, but particularly at people who are not familiar with acoustics. Noise and sounds are present at every point of our lives, you can’t really control it. Think about your vision - you can close your eyes, but never your ears! Sebastian and I (Diogo) were two acoustics students who had a really hard time explaining to our friends and family what acoustics is - there are so many areas, how would we explain all this without taking 1 hour and boring the hell out of everyone?! - so we created this podcast. In every episode we speak to a different acoustician working in one of the several areas within acoustics - Building, environmental, studio, musical acoustics, just to name some!In this second episode, we speak to Engineer Dario Paini, an acoustic designer(https://www.paini.eu/). He will tell us all about acoustics in music studios and the connection between architecture and acoustics! We hope we can get people to find out about acoustics and to pay more attention to sound and noise, as it truly affects our daily lives.Acoustics Spotlight is sponsored by the Young Acousticians Network (YAN), a non-profit organization within the European Acoustics Association which aims to connect young acousticians all around Europe and the world!
