449: Removing Containers, Decluttering with Others, and More of Your Questions Answered

I’m answering your decluttering questions that were submitted at AskDanaKWhite.com

  • When should we remove containers? For example, bookshelves, entryway tables, desks, buffets, china cabinets, etc.
  • My hubby and I are following your steps. We have different "where would I look for it first" locations. Do you have any thoughts or advice?
  • I am having trouble following your steps because I have three active children. Do you have any tips for finding time for a five-minute pickup?
  • Do your strategies work for people who have cluttered homes due to having adhd?
  • I need help getting rid of keepsake papers, old notebooks, greeting cards, travel brochures & sentimental letters from deceased relatives.
  • How do I keep clutter out from under my bed or dressers?
  • How do you throw useful/sentimental items in the trash?
  • I want to clear out sentimental items, many of which are old pictures. I’m concerned I won’t be able to do the technical stuff, like scanning. Do you have any suggestions?
