A Life in Dublin

Sometimes when we think of a place we can have preconceived notions of what that place may or may not be like. Whether it’s pictures of sunny beaches, war, famine, economic prosperity or horrific poverty, our perspective of a place is usually tainted by the images and narratives that are fed to us in the media. Perhaps Lebanon is victim to this phenomenon and so when I met Fouad and Samar I jumped at the chance to chat to them so that I could learn more about their background and what it means to be Lebanese. Of course, we talk about how they have ended up here in Dublin as well but selfishly I pressed to know and learn more about Lebanese culture and life.
