In this episode of the podcast myself and my good friend Eoin are going to have a chat about an Irish television show which became a cultural phenomenon. Sometimes there are creative works that perhaps take on more than the sum of their parts due to being propelled forward by the cultural zeitgeist which existed at the time. In this case, Father Ted rode that wave from the mid 1990’s all the way to current day Ireland.
Myself and Eoin chat about how Father Ted triggered verbal meme’s before that was even a thing and whether or not the Father Ted phenomenon will continue to exist into the future as the Irish zeitgeist begins to change.
