Comics Are My Happy Place

Cowabunga, CAMHPers! Colin and Nick are still trying to be in the same place at the same time to record an episode so it's another in Nick's mini solo series where he asks a question as a sort of rhetorical device to let him witter on for a bit and, this week, it's the turn of those heroes in the half shell - the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. So grab a slice of pizza and avoid the use of nunchuks for this week's episode....

Catastrophe! Due to technical failure, the planned episode with Colin and Nick talking about Bishop is unsalvageable. Never fear, however, for Colin has stepped into the breach to do a whistlestop one-man recreation of that very episode for your listening pleasure. So here is not-quite-but-almost the lost episode - enjoy!NOTE:- We'll be dropping down to a fortnightly schedule for the time being as life is very much interrupting the regular weekly schedule at the moment and we want to make sure you're still getting some comic-y goodness from us

Catastrophe (and not just for the unsuspecting inhabitants of Tokyo)! Technical difficulties unfortunately stomped on this week's planned 90s X-Men themed episode so instead, we have an emergency broadcast in which our very own Nick Krik asks the question:- is Godzilla part of the Marvel universe? There's only one way to find out...

We are back with Part 2 of our look at the web-slinger himself, Spider-Man! Join Colin and Nick as they take a look at some of Spidey's greatest moments and fianlly put the wall-crawling menace himself in the list. Join Colin and Nick as they emerge fresh from the cinema (and, in Nick's case with a badge and some free socks) to chat about the latest MCU film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day and we'll be asking the big question:- who enjoyed it and who didn't? (We start off spoiler-free but it does get spoilery around the half hour. mark...)Tune in to the first part of this Spidey two-parter and come back next week when we finally take a look at some of Peter Parker's greatest moments and put the web-slinging wall-crawler himself in the list at long last!Films WatchedSpider-Man: Brand New DayOther Comics ReadPoison Ivy (DC)Geiger / Junkyard Joe / Redcoat (Image)

It's the second part of Colin and Nick's look at the wonderful(?) world of 90s X-Force when everyone had guns and muscles and even the guns had muscles too (with smaller guns on them). They'll be asking the important questions like:- just exactly how does Gideon's hair work? How easy is it to create their own version of X-Force with classic characters like Rockhead and The Stoat? And how many attempts does it take to say goodbye at the end of a podcast?Issues Read271. X-Force X-Force (1991) #1614. Garrison Kane X-Force (1991) #2 274. ShatterstarX-Factor (2013) #259275.
