9to5.cc Podcasts: Including Go Plug Yourself (GPYS) & 9to5 Entertainment System (9ES)
Interview with Matthew Gray Gubler (9to5 Goes to Fantasia International Film Festival)
Remember that time I sat down with Hollywood superstar Matthew Gray Gubler? No? Well, you should probably listen to this episode then so we can share that memory together. Matthew (or Matt as I like to call him, based solely on what other people like Life After Beth director Jeff Baena or co-star Aubrey Plaza call him) was great fun to sit down with and share the sun and a croissant. Ok, he was the one who ate the croissant. I just sat down.
I asked him the hard questions like, would he rather be a ghost hunter or a zombie hunter (he is a bit of a zombie hunter in Life After Beth and a ghost hunter in Suburban Gothic)? And I pull no punches when I demand that he tell me who was a bigger deal to meet: John Waters or Bill Murray. Listen, this is the feel good interview of the summer, you should just listen to it.
If you're wondering why it sounds the way it does, I was testing the new 9to5 portable podcasting station. I wasn't sure it was going to work and was ready to write up a transcript of our conversation. But guess what? It DID work and now you get to listen to it. Enjoy the show! By the way, that photo? It is a picture of a vial of incredibly realistic looking jizz (or “Ectogasm”) from the film Suburban Gothic. So now I own it.
The song we use in the intro is “Spooky Loop” by the 8bit bEtty. Used under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 United States License.

Go Plug Yourself 333: Steve Leckman (Programmes Coyote / Coyote Program)
01:12:00|The Montreal podcast Go Plug Yourself asks Steve Leckman from Programmes Coyote: You have to diffuse a bomb – do you choose to ask the audience, go 50/50 or phone a friend? That question was asked by Lucie Gee and Dan Carin promoting Le Mini Grand Yes And on our last episode.Steve Leckman is the Director of Programmes Coyote / Coyote Programs. Coyote Programs offer kids and teens the chance to get out in nature, have an adventure and take risks (while still supervised by skilled and knowledgeable grownup guides). They offer after school programs, daycamps, mentoring and getaway camping trips where kids experience screen free time in nature and foster creativity, resilience and to quote one of the kids “skills they might need in the zombie apocalypse.” If this sounds amazing (because it is), Coyote Programs is gearing up for their summer registration period. Reach out to Steve and team here.Steve joined Chris Venditto and I to talk about these programs, how important they are in 2026 to counter the rise of perpetual screen time and toxic masculinity and how kids are just so freaking ready to get outside and have an adventure.Early in the episode we talk about Steve’s uncanny ability to mimic animal gaits. Do yourself a favour and watch this video for the full demonstration of what we’re talking about. This is a little off the beaten path (ha ha!) for us but I promise it’s a good time, enjoy the show!Credit Where Credit is DueAs always, a big thank you to the providers of our theme song: Leighland Beckman and Aural Turpitude!Chris Venditto is another funny person in Montreal who you can see all over the place and if you don’t want to miss him take the stage you should follow him on all the socials.
