Chef Michael is now the chef partner of a Riviera Dining Group in Miami, Florida. In just a few short years the group has become the new hot kids in town with concepts Mila, Mila Member's Club, Mila Omakase, as well as Ava located in Winter Park, FL. The aggressive growth of the group is not done, with Casa Neos set to open later this year, a multi-unit operation right off the Miami Riverwalk. Casa Neos will house an exclusive hotel with only 4 boutique suites, a private member's club, pool lounge and multiple F+B outlets. And at the helm of all culinary is Chef Michael Michaelidis.
Let's catch up with chef as he dives into his years working for his mentor the late great Joel Robuchon and operating multiple Michelin starred restaurants during his over decade time in Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore.
