70s Weekly Countdown with Mark and Pete
Episode 94: The Week Ending October 1, 1977
When we think of 1977, our brains immediately cue the Star Wars theme. We have so many great memories between those daytime friends and boogie nights. If you don’t have those, I am afraid to say I wouldn’t want to be like you. However, far from being as cold as ice, don’t worry baby, I believe you. Stay on that telephone line, because help is on the way. This week we float on through the Billboard Top 40 from the week of October 1, 1977. Keep it coming love, on and on, because that’s rock and roll. I am not sure if nobody does it better, but I think we like to get you swayin’ to the music.

99. Episode 99: The Midnight Special from March 22, 1974
02:02:09||Season 4, Ep. 99Let’s face it, nobody want you when you’re down an out. During those times, you just want some sunshine on your shoulders, you’re looking for love, someone to look at you with bright eyes and say “He’s the one”. I remember walking in the green grass with my sweet tattooed lady, unlike anyone else, you really got me. I would have never guessed you’d leave me for the railroad man. The good news is we’ve got some good rocking tonight. The music from Episode 60 of The Midnight Special, will rock the nation far and wide. It will shake the grave and make the cradle rock. 97. Episode 97: The Week Ending January 20, 1979
02:27:04||Season 4, Ep. 97Baby I’m burnin’, my head is on fire, and only heaven knows if I will survive the flu this year. It seems like love don’t live here anymore, because you don’t bring me flowers when I’m sick. I could really use a little more love in my life. Now I know what you’re saying, don’t cry out loud. You took the words right out of my mouth. At least we’re warm and dry as we listen to the music from the Billboard Top 40 from the week of January 20, 1979. You’ll hear us sharing the night together with a special voice from the past. We can’t make any promises that every 1’s a winner, but hey; there is such a thing as too much heaven. 95. Episode 95: The Week Ending November 11, 1972
02:01:49||Season 4, Ep. 95In 1972 were you one of all the young dudes that acted like crazy horses? Looking around, it seems like it’s starting all over again. If the youth of today wish to use me as an example, all I can say is don’t do it. If you don’t know me now, there used to be a light of thunder and lightning behind this funny face. Alas, as we listen to the music from the Billboard Top 40 from the week of November 11, 1972, I can see clearly now that I believe in music. 02:38:37||Season 4, Ep. 93Episode 93: The Week Ending July 29, 1978 Magnet and Steel, Stuff Like ThatWell if you thought the show was gone, you’d be a fool to think it’s over. We’re not sure if you really missed us, but boy did we miss you, and at least we’d like to ask if we can still be friends. Please stay a little bit longer. It seems like lately I’ve been bluer than blue, but I’ve had enough of that, and I’m not gonna let it bother me tonight. As we listen to the Billboard Top 40 from the week of June 29, 1978, it reminds us of listening to the songs on the FM radio. The songs still sound the same.
