01:12:58|Trigger Warning: Child rape and sexual abuse/assaultAccording to the latest statistics provided by Rape Crisis UK, 1 in 6 children has been sexually abused. This statistic is of course only representative of the cases of sexual abuse that have been reported. And, unreported childhood cases of sexual abuse and rape are much higher, with statistics indicating that 72% of adults who experienced sexual abuse as a child, did NOT tell anyone or report it at the time of the abuse. 01:05:51|81% of women feel some form of exclusion at work92% of men don't believe that they're excluding women48% of women feel appreciated at work79% of men feel appreciated at work**malealliesuk.co.uk Feminism can be dated back to the 1800's...but we've been fighting for much longer. Whilst some movement has been made, we are by no means close to true equity, even in the most basic of terms. The irony now is that the world we live in today, a world created by men for men, no longer even works for the boys and men it was intended for! So, fellow men, it's your turn now. It's your turn to fight alongside women, in the trenches of gender inequality, violence, disenfranchisement, and bias, to change the socio-economic and political systems you created and founded on misogyny. Your active participation and voice is necessary in order to move our failing society and the systems, institutions and businesses within it, forward.
