Leon Mayne

Leon Mayne is an award-winning writer and producer represented by CAA. His work, especially in providing richly detailed black programming, has earned him a feature in Powerful Media’s ‘Britain’s Most Influential People of African & African Caribbean Heritage’, BBC’s ‘Talent Hotlist’, and a Screen Nation ‘Digital Vanguard Award’. He currently works in the BBC Drama Commissioning Team, whilst also serving as writer, exec producer and/or script editor on a greenlit and development slate with the likes of BBC, A24, UKTV, Roughcut, Fearless Minds & Untold Studios.

Akua Gymfi

Akua Gyamfi has over 20+ years of experience in the arts spans fashion, film, television, theatre, print & digital media. In 2012 Akua founded The British Blacklist a platform celebrating British Black creatives across Screen, Stage, Literature Audio. She produces podcasts Your Aunties Could Never (popular culture) & TBB Talks (interviews) and is a member of BAFTA. In 2019 Akua joined forces with Soul Film, TNBFC, & We Are Parable to launch BFI supported S.O.U.L. Film Festival, an annual event that showcases the best of Black Filmmakers.
