    17:51
Today we have the lovely Amy from Bakes in Bloom. Bakes in Bloom is Amy’s cupcake business, in the heart of Rugeley, Staffordshire, specializing in transforming cupcakes into edible flowers.  Over 4 years ago, Amy decided to give herself a break from her job as an Assistant Psychologist. She didn’t really know what she wanted to do, however, one day she literally had that ‘’lightbulb moment’’. Amy had never heard of cupcake bouquets until she was trying to think of a present for her mum's birthday. Cupcake flowers just popped into Amy’s head, and she decided to run with it – because homemade presents are the best and she was skint!Amy decided to set up a Facebook page to see if there would be anyone interested in buying some of her cupcakes. 5 years later and the business has gone from strength to strength, and she now has over 15k followers on Instagram. However, it wasn’t all happy days for Amy when one day she found out that another baker, had stolen her business name. • 7. Head Of Thinking & Possibilities - Ian Rummels

    29:04
Our special guest today is Ian Rummels, the proud founder of two separate businesses with different audiences and missions, but with two things in common: Ian as the creator, and the shared desire to develop happy, motivated employees. Having spent 14 years at Ernst & Young heading up their employer services business, in 2001 Ian founded PES, an award-winning business specialising in employee benefits, wellbeing and HR services. It was here that his passion to bring exceptional digital employee engagement tools to the masses began. After years of using sub-standard employee benefits platforms, that passion took over, and Ian decided to build his own!Ian quickly realised that PES wasn’t the only employee benefits company to be fed up with the standard of technology available. So, in 2019, Cloud8 was formed - a software business that now owns the technology and licences it to other EBCs and intermediaries.Ian handed over the CEO reigns in both businesses, moving into a founder & visionary position. Ian has more free time to work with other first time entrepreneurs and CEOs which enables him to share his experience, giving people the benefit of learning from his mistakes along the way... It's been quite a journey for Ian!Music By Shane McGeadyEdited By Shane McGeady
