My interviewed with Jason Clawson

Season 3, Ep. 119

I interviewed Jason Clawson. Jason is a licensed clinical therapist and entrepreneur. Jason said, in 2018, his life was flipped upside down after his wife was diagnosed with stage 4 Colon Cancer. This was devastating news that completely rocked his world. The Doctor in the hospital looked at him and said “Jason, Cancer has a way of enhancing your life”. At that point in his life, he did not want this. After his wife's initial diagnosis, they were given 2-3 hours for her life expectancy. She lived for 9 months later, and he found himself saying goodbye at her funeral. No one or thing can fully prepare you for life’s challenges, trials, and pain he said. After the funeral was complete and over, he remember his support from his family and friends quickly disappearing. He found himself all alone trying to pick up the pieces of life.

Jason said that he remembers saying to himself “Will I Become Happier again”. Will I find love again”. “Will I feel Joy again”. "HEALING TAKES COURAGE". Jason said that he found himself more and more depressed, isolated, lonely, anxious, and even struggling to sleep. Life, he said became overwhelming, and he was fearful of the future.

Jason said, as a clinical therapist, no one taught him about these moments that he was currently experiencing. No one prepared him on how to deal with or cope with his emotions and what he was currently dealing with. He continued by stating how could he help others going through challenging times in their life, but he could not help himself. At a low point in his journey, Jason said that he could not do this alone, and finally, I reached out by sending a text for help to 14 of his friends, family, and neighbors asking them to come to my house so that he could tell them how he was feeling. Later that day, all those people he texted showed up at my house in what I call my “HEALING TEAM”. it was at this point, he said that he began to find hope and happiness again. Jason and his boys decided to have a lemonade stand and raise money to create “SUNSHINE BASKETS” for people that had lost a spouse, dealing with cancer, or individuals that were struggling.

Currently, they deliver to 45 states soon to be 50. Jason and his business partner have created Giving Sunshine. Jason has stepped away from being a therapist and is working full-time at Giving Sunshine. Jason now dedicates his life to working to provide help and healing to those that have lost loved ones, are struggling with Cancer, and have mental health issues. Their boxes provide therapeutic tools that help others heal and become happier during challenging times of their life.

Today, Jason has found joy and happiness again. He said that he recently got married again to his sweetheart named Kirsten. It has been a joy and blessing to have her in my life and continues to enhance our lives today.

I encourage everyone to follow him and be transformed by his insights.

They are the infrastructure of the psyche – and consciousness itself. This infrastructure has been called by many names: mental schemas, paradigms, interpretive filters, maps of meaning, neural pathways, and dozens others. Regardless of what you call them, they operate in the subconscious mind, beneath our conscious view of the world and experience of reality. They shape our view of ourselves, how we see others, and how we respond to the world. They limit who we are and what we’re capable of. And they carry the potential of un-limiting us, freeing us from the past, and opening new possibilities. If you change your beliefs, you change your reality.I strongly encourage everyone to buy his books, follow him, and be transformed by his insights.Everyone has a story, and this is his story.Below are the sites that house his work. this show:
