The History of Names: It Would Smell Just as Sweet
Welcome to the eighth episode! In this episode Liz and Dakota look at the long history of names and naming practices in the Western World. Starting with a look back at ancient Greek and Roman naming practices, moving into the Christianization of the Western naming pool, and the influence of the Bible on these naming practices, Dakota and Liz talk about all the different factors that go into naming a person. They also spend some time talking about the history of last names, and add some predictions for names in 2021. Dakota also gets some new inspiration for future names he may like to call himself.
