The Fallen Fruit
Persephone: The Hell Flower
Season 1, Ep. 12
•
Welcome back to the tree house, we're the Fallen Fruit: Stephanie Ginese, Catherine Urban and Lynette Ramos.
Today we are musing on the myth of Persephone - an ancient myth whose origins predate its most famed Greek origin. (Revisit episode 2 where we discuss Inanna and Ereshkigal for the Sumerian version.) It's very timely that we discuss Persephone and Demeter as we approach the Autumnal Equinox, as her mythos serves primarily as a basis for the seasons on the planet. This episode definitely brings the juiciness, so kick back, eat some pomegranate seeds and visit Hades with us.

29. Decolonizing the Mystical Arts
01:05:58||Season 2, Ep. 29Welcome back to The Fallen Fruit! Today we're back in our outdoor, socially distant tree house discussing decolonization - specifically in our respective areas of expertise. Stephanie shares some of her experience with efforts to decolonize the Tarot, while Catherine shares about some of the neat things going on in the astrology community around this topic. And no doubt. Lynette poses some thoughtful questions and perspectives on the matter as well. Of course, there's so much more to talk about as we, collectively, are just beginning to scratch the surface on what it means to decolonize. This might be our most serious episode yet! Lots of Saturn transits abound. We recorded this episode on 7/24 just after the Cancer New Moon. 28. Lady of the Tomb + She Who is Death: Sekhmet and Kali
01:09:44||Season 2, Ep. 28Hello and welcome back to The Fallen Fruit! Today we are in the tree house (legitimately), discussing goddesses of DESTRUCTION. The beautiful, fierce lioness of Ancient Egypt, Sekhmet and the protective Devi of the night, Kali from India. Obviously, these goddesses are very relevant today as we head into the United States' Pluto return, and the whole world seems to be ablaze. The Lady in Red and She Who is Black have some messages for us about how to combat destructive forces with an equal force in order to restore Ma'at and Dharma (concepts of right action).
