251. Mike Cline & Emily Rasowsky: The Power of Healing In Community

Ep. 251

“We can learn something from everyone. Mirrors exist everywhere. All of nature is contained in the fractal pattern of a single leaf or a single feed”

About 4 years into my personal growth journey, it became clear that there was only so much inner work I could do on my own. My solo efforts often gave me a breakthrough, but my deepest inner work always came when engaging in community.

Community-based healing is THE most powerful catalyst and an accelerant for personal growth because of the abundance of mirrors. When you’re surrounded by others, it’s harder to hide your flaws. When you’re surrounded by tribe, you begin the journey of seeing yourself the way others see you. When you’re healing alongside others, there’s more opportunities to find your blindspots and reveal the places where there’s more work to be done.

In this episode, I’m joined by my partners at the Humans Are Good Foundation, Mike Cline & Emily Rasowsky.

Together, we’ve pooled our resources, skills, and healing experiences to share a framework for going inward that’s rooted in science and steeped in community support. In this episode, Emily & Mike share their own paths to liberation, and together, share the impact community based healing has had on our own lives

Be sure to listen to the end where we discuss how you can access a framework to help you heal your deepest core wounds in a community setting.

“There are certain types of unprocessed emotional data in our nervous system that is not accessible when you're just doing solo work.”

Key takeaways:

  • How we realized we needed community support to take our healing journey to the next level.
  • Everyone is a representation of each other.
  • Uncovering the unprocessed emotional data bound in our nervous systems.
  • Community gives us access to different examples and role models of what’s possible.
  • The concept of psychological safety and how it helps us heal.
  • Unsafe vs uncomfortable (and learning to distinguish between the two).
  • You are your own greatest research project.
  • How early childhood experiences shape our present-day stressors and challenges.
  • The link between self-forgiveness and liberation.
  • As a collective, we don’t have the time for lengthy, expensive healing journeys.

On October 5th, I will be teaching a live masterclass about a data-driven, community-based approach to doing inner work that’s designed to help you accelerate breakthroughs in your mental & emotional well-being.

258. Panache Desai: Unraveling The Truth Of Who You Are

Ep. 258
The last time I was with Panache was right before the COVID lockdowns. The time I spent with him as he launched his book, You Are Enough - Revealing the Soul to Discover Your Power, Potential, and Possibility, changed my life profoundly. Thanks to his spiritual wisdom and loving support, he inspired the courage to look at the parts of myself I was afraid to look at and dive deeper into my own spiritual journey. Panache Desai is a visionary thought leader and a life catalyst in the area of human development. This incredible human has appeared on Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday, he’s collaborated with Deepak Chopra and has worked with everyone from Neale Donald Walsh to Joe Dispenza, Brian Weiss, Ram Dass, James Redfield, and other luminaries in the fields of spiritual and personal development. When Panache called me out of the blue a few months back and proposed we record another episode together, I said yes in a heartbeat. And after we finished recording the episode, I knew why he called. When the student is ready, the teacher appears. His perspectives were the messages I needed to hear. It was a reminder of infinite possibilities and to trust in a greater unfolding. It was a reminder to surrender deeply into the flow of life and create from a space of deep knowing. This conversation is almost 1.5 hours long (twice the length of our normal episodes) and FULL of gold. I hope you guys enjoy listening to this episode as much as I did recording it. Key takeaways:Discovering the truth of who you are. Do we really have free will. Why choice itself is an illusion.Learning to value yourself. Why we’re so obsessed with personal growth. Why rejection leads to self-censoring. If you don’t like something in someone else, resolve it in yourself. Through acceptance, we can become aware of ourselves. How self-awareness creates space for trauma to rise and release. The hierarchy of consciousness. Why awareness equates to freedom. Why freedom & liberation is the North Star. Understanding the root of suffering. Why comparison is impossible. Contact Info:Check out - https://www.panachedesai.comInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/panachedesai/We thrive on your feedback, so if you’ve enjoyed this show, please rate us and leave us a review. 257. Loka Pandya: How To Connect With Childlike Joy

Ep. 257
“I realized that joy is about working through your emotions, releasing your emotions, and also being intentional about your joy.”Loka Pandya is a motivational speaker, serial entrepreneur, a DeLorean collector, and a passionate life enthusiast who’s dedicated to deep healing work. In his work, Loka is on a mission to awaken the inner child joy that lies within all of us. Loka’s passion for igniting joy began after his mother died when he was 13. Almost overnight, Loka transformed from a highly competitive, ambitious teen into a young man who wanted to help others feel better. Over time, his overgiving character put him on a rollercoaster of extreme highs and deep lows. The pattern was exhausting. Loka succeeded in making the world happy, but inside, he was sad. In response, Loka threw the kitchen sink at his healing journey, trying every tool and modality he could get his hands on. This inner journey taught Loka that healing depended on his ability to feel his true emotions. He also learned you could intentionally trigger joy and choose how to feel. Today, Loka empowers people to tap into their childlike joy so they can experience more love and happiness. This episode is a heartwarming dive into Loka’s personal journey of healing, along with tools and tips for igniting joy and reconnecting with your inner child. “The more play you put in, the happier, more joyous you're going to be, and be intentional about it.” Key takeaways:Exploring your relationship with receiving. What happens when the high highs and low lows become exhausting? Loka’s “folder of joy.” Reframing triggers into initiations. Pausing to create space for a response. Reclaiming control of your power to choose. The power of healing through baby steps. Doing the one thing each day that helps you heal. Staying grounded through a routine. Contact Info:Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/lokapandya/Loka@lokapandya.com. We thrive on your feedback, so if you’ve enjoyed this show, please rate us and leave us a review. 256. Raj Jana: Surrendering To A Vision Bigger Than You

Ep. 256
“Your intimate relationship is the most profound mirror for you to actually connect to that foundation of love within yourself.” The last time I recorded a reflection episode was at the end of August - just after returning from Burning Man. As an experiment, I decided to wait a couple of months before publicly reflecting again. It’s been interesting to see the arc of change over a two-month window - proof that many shifts can happen when you move through life consciously and with vulnerability and authenticity. I often remind myself that I’m the common denominator in all areas of my life. How I show up in one context impacts how I show up in others. In this episode, you’ll hear how I’ve used my relationship and creativity as dojos - places to practice peeling off masks and connecting more intimately with the authentic me. I’ve also been exploring the power of surrendering to a vision bigger than myself - a practice vastly different from how I used to operate in business. These intentions became catalysts for a lot of growth, as you’ll hear in the episode. As always, I hope that this episode will inspire a practice of reflection in your life. Reflection can be a superpower because the more we know our authentic selves, the more we can navigate fear, manage adversity, regulate our nervous system and step into the greatest forms of love we were born to express. “What's actually required is healing ourselves and liberating ourselves from these conditions that have kept us trapped in this old way of doing that isn't actually serving the planet, it's not serving our relationships, it's not serving our health.”Key takeaways:Learning to show up imperfectly. Overcoming my fear of being seen to fail. Speaking on the same stage as Dr. Joe Dispenza. Creating from a place of collaboration over competition. Turning away from ME projects into WE projects. Leveraging vulnerability as a tool for healing Humans are inherently goodHaving the courage to take off your mask. The desire to know who you really are. Contact Info:Raj’s contact details.
