The Third Men Podcast is proud to present an all-new extended interview with Jack White's longtime tour manager - the legendary Lalo Medina! Since The White Stripes' fateful final tour in 2007, Lalo has been helping to facilitate, arrange and execute Jack's live performances, and his insider perspective is something unique and extraordinary within the Third Man orbit. From Jack and Meg's northern sojourn chronicled in Under Great White Northern Lights, to multiple tours from The Raconteurs, The Dead Weather and Jack White solo, Lalo has been instrumental in setting the stage for the performances that we as fans continue to be captivated by to this day. In this special extended interview, we'll learn of Lalo's time with groups such as Jurassic 5 and The Mars Volta, as well as amazing stories from the road that only Lalo could tell! Where does Jack hang after a Conan rehearsal? Who's the all-time trash-talk champion of the TMR sandlot games? What on earth does one do with raw caribou? The answers to these questions and more await you in the kick-off to the Third Men Podcast's season 6 (!) audio adventures. Over the course of this podcast we've analyzed and reviewed nearly all of Jack White's albums in his various group incarnations and solo work, but this is one record we wanted to save for a special occasion -- and what better occasion than to celebrate both the anniversary of its release AND the brand new vault package coming our way shortly from Third Man Records! In this first installment of the series, we'll set the stage for the recording of the LP, where the band was in its own history at the time -- and what circumstances lead Jack and Meg White to Toe Rag Studios in Hackney, London. We're deep-diving into the methodology behind the album's themes, artwork and technical aspects, as well as providing context for some of the record's quirks and mysteries.
