  • Christmas 2025 trailer

    06:33|
    Two attempts and we still got it wrong. Because this coming Christmas we have FIVE* (not four as Kevin says) bonus episodes. It's more or less a mini series, but not featuring Joan Collins or Richard Chamberlain.On the 22nd, we have Christmas with The Kimberleys. Jim and Isobel are a folk duo and they are playing three gigs in December. Kevin will be interviewing them at their Morley Folk Club gig on 16th, details in link below.Then on the 24th, 26th and 28th we will have a three part Dr Who feature, in which Kevin interviews Whovian Chris Hoyle.We finish 2025 with our review of the year featuring Mel, Rob and Phil. (* Dave is already starting to think that it's going to be a two parter).So thanks for supporting us and watch for these upcoming episodes.Finally Dave would like to thank Andrew Hunter Murray for the gag.Presented by Kevin Petch and David Benn.Produced by Kevin Petch for Out Of Left Field.We make no income from recommended links.The Kimberleys Events PageChris Hoyle referenced on fandom.com

  • 18. 70s Synth Albums and TONTO Synth

    01:01:08||Season 4, Ep. 18
    Who doesn't love a high pass filter? Gently applied to two detuned oscillators set at square wave?If this is just word salad to you, then listen to our discussion on electronic music albums of the 1970s, where Kevin and David pick three each to illustrate the development and interest in synthesizers, not all of them are too obvious. And Kevin wanders off from the '1970 to 1979' brief.In our second feature David admits his previous ignorance about The Original Neo Timbral Orchestra, an achievement up there with the discovery of the first pulsar (note the spelling).We round off with a few honorable mentions.Links mentioned in episode available athttps://www.kevinspetchcreative.com/news.htmlWe make no revenue from links or recommendations.Presented by David Benn and Kevin Petch.Produced by Kevin Petch for Out Of Left Field.

  • 16. October Recommendations

    39:20||Season 4, Ep. 16
    It's time for more recommendations, and if the multitrack recorder had not suffered some sort of end times malfunction we would have a longer episode for you.Glitches in the Tascrix did not stop Kevin, Mel and Phil discussing music, documentaries and a long running YouTube series. But the audio quality does reflect the transient nature of stability, the impermanence of reliability and most importantly the state of the preamps. Dave is trying to figure out if this could be fixed with WD40 or Gaffa tape. 00:30||Season 4
    Hello. We are episodeless this week. Our multitrack had a wobble, which is odd because it's only 24 years old. Dave decided against going full Fawlty so did not hit it with a tree branch. Instead he took it apart. He might put it back together in time for our next episode, which is October recommendations, out on or around the 5th October.Thanks for supporting 5282.5282 is a Out Of Left Field production.
