30 on Broadway: Talking Blueshirts
The Summer Series Pt 1: The Stanley Cup Finally Ends
Welcome to Summer!
It is officially the end of the NHL season as the Stanley Cup Final has finally wrapped up with a thrilling game 7 victory for the Florida Panthers.
We talk about the Final, Paul Maurice getting the Stanley Cup after 3 decades of coaching, Buffalo and the laundry list of players who have gone on to win the Stanley Cup, the irony of Kyle Okposo's performance bonus, and a nod to Philly and their history of goaltender flubs in regards to Bob and Stolarz.
Chris gives his thoughts on the disgrace that is the voters for the Hockey Hall of Fame.
We then we jump into the "official" Summer Series Pt. 1 for the New York Rangers:
Barclay Goodrow, while waived and good for business, by all accounts the handling was suspect.
Kaapo Kakko trade coming on draft day possibly?
What do the Rangers do if anything with Jacob Trouba?
Changes to the roster coming in the form of free agency, a Kane reunion?
We'll see you next week for Summer Series Pt. 2: Free Agency
As we close in on the new season, we will be launching our special program involving ticket opportunities for fans and listeners of the show. Tune in to the episode for more information.
