24 FPS Presents...
Casino Royale
In a way, we're ending where this all began. James Bond has been on many adventures with us throughout this series, but with Casino Royale, they took the spy back to his roots. We meet a Bond on his first assignment after becoming a double-O and we get a fresh face in Daniel Craig. Based on the Ian Fleming novel of the same name, the franchise has gone back to the well to see if they can revive the old spy after twenty movies it was time for something new. How did the producers handle the hand they were dealt? Was it a real royal flush, or did they just bluff their way to the box office? Let's find out together.

4. Jason Statham in "The Transporter"
01:13:38||Season 3, Ep. 4This week on the show, we leave the shores of mainland China behind and officially bring in our first Brit to the ranks of famous martial artists! You may not consider Jason Statham one of the pantheons, especially due to his more recent work, but his hand to hand combat stunt work in the early days of his career was certainly something to marvel at. He's quite the accomplished martial artists in his own right, not to mention a fantastic diver. Statham shows up on the scene in The Transporter to cause a lot of chaos and generally be a pain in the rear to a set of gangsters. He also gets to drive fast cars while he does it.Jason Statham is on the Bruce Lee Scale, and you might be surprised where he lands for each of us.
3. Donnie Yen in "Kill Zone"
55:49||Season 3, Ep. 3This week, Donnie Yen hits the mean streets of a non-descript crime town to try to clean up the mess being made by a crime boss. There are a lot of knives, a lot of blood, and some of the most agile fighting we've seen so far on this show. If you like lightening fast fights, this is the movie for you. We also found ourselves lamenting the fact that even though Donnie Yen is our age, we assume he is able to get off a couch without a ton of effort. Seriously, the guy is ridiculous. Where does he rank on our Bruce Lee Scale? Find out on this episode of 24 FPS Presents...
2. Stephen Chow in "Kung Fu Hustle"
01:07:25||Season 3, Ep. 2This week on the show, Stephen and Travis take a look at maybe one of the best Kung Fu comedies ever made, Kung Fu Hustle. Released in 2004, this movie featured some of the most bonkers animation and CGI, but has a backbone of an amazing story and an even more amazing martial artist. Where did Stephen Chow rank on our Bruce Lee Scale, tune in and find out!
1. Bruce Lee in "Game of Death"
01:01:02||Season 3, Ep. 1It's officially our kick off episode for Season 3 of 24 FPS Presents...! That's right, we're covering one of our favorite genres and one that just doesn't always get enough love. We've picked out 12 of our favorite martial artists and randomly chosen a movie. We've seen some of them, but some are new to one or both our hosts and are sure to pack some surprising punches.Join us this season as we talk about the action, the films, and most importantly the artist in some of the best martial arts movies ever made... and some of the worst. We'll also be ranking all of our artists on the Bruce Lee Scale where we rank them on a scale of Steven Segal to Bruce Lee. Yes, Steven Segal is at zero and if you don't know why we'll let you google that for yourself. Where do these legends land? Join us and find out!
10. Quantum of Solace
01:23:08||Season 2, Ep. 10We have a new bad movie and brand new Bond! Daniel Craig takes us on a ride in this direct sequel to Casino Royale. Being a sequel, the expectations were very high, but the writer's strike of the time really hindered the ability for the movie to get made with a coherent storyline. Was it really that bad? Stephen and Travis take a look and make that decision for themselves. Let's dive into the Quantum of Solace!
9. Goldeneye
01:18:36||Season 2, Ep. 9We've made it to what many may call the GOAT of more recent James Bond films. Though it does pain me to imagine that 1996 may not be as recent as I want to believe. Pierce Brosnan's debut brought back Bond with a bang. Loads of action, espionage, femme fatales, and a brand new M, played by Judi Dench. This was Bond for a brand new generation and we were here for it. A solid 80% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes makes this the best Bond of the Brosnan Era.
8. The World is Not Enough
01:29:20||Season 2, Ep. 8We're going to a new Bond actor again, this time with Pierce Brosnan! The second non-Brit to take on the role, Pierce Brosnan also had the longest gap between movies at 6 years. Pierce came on the scene and brought his own version of 007 to the screen in a way most people seemed to admire. But did they admire every film? Apparently not! Case in point, The World is Not Enough. Well, turns out the movie was also not enough to keep audiences interested as this came in as the lowest critically reviewed film of his run. Which is saying something when you consider Die Another Day also exists.Tell us what you thought of this one.
7. Licence to Kill
01:20:28||Season 2, Ep. 7The best of Timothy Dalton is right here! Licence to kill took us from being a series of movies about a posh spy who occasionally got into some fisticuffs, and straight into Rambo territory with a spy who could shoot big guns, hang out of airplanes, and generally be a major bad ass. Was all that off limits to James Bond? Not according to the critics! Audiences were ready for James Bond to shed his Roger Moore stylings and vault into the 1980s...well at the end of the 80s. It was a lot and a little late, but did the job they wanted anyway. Bond became relevant again, just in time for Timothy Dalton to hang up the tuxedo. What did Stephen and Travis think of this one? Tune in and find out!
