  • Chairs

    01:00:11|
All toilets are chairs but not all chairs are toilets. Not sure it was Confucius who originally said that, but it’s profound nonetheless.Toilets have already been selected by The Cup so that can only mean its chairs up for review this week.We have all the usual history of, fun facts etc, but most remarkably we find out how much the most expensive chair ever was and it is - to put no finer point on it - absurd. Have a listen now to find out and join us on X at @2G1Cpod
  • Magazines

    56:38|
FHM.Gamesmaster.FourFourTwo.Arguably the holy trinity of toilet read magazines. For any youngsters reading, a magazine is/was basically a website on paper, with the added advantage, certainly in the case of FHM, of a foldy outy page with the vaguest hint of aftershave on it that you could rub on yourself and smell like lemon infused printed paper. But as well as weak aftershave, the Cup offering up magazines as a topic reeks of nostalgia, so join 2G1C Pod on a whistle stop tour of the world of magazines…@2G1CPOD on Twitter/X
  • Immersive Theatre

    01:01:13|
Back to the Future.Dirty Dancing.28 Days Later. Not the film playlist of the 2 Guys enjoying a film night together, but rather a selection immersive theatre experiences they have had. And what is immersive theatre, I hear you cry. Well, it’s theatre in which you become immersed. Think Secret Cinema or if you’re of a certain vintage, Alien War at the Trocadero in London (which incidentally cost £6.95 for an adult and £4.95 for a child).Download the latest 2 Guys 1 Cup to find out the ups and downs of the aforementioned immersion and a bit of an update on the great Barbara v Hilary debate…@2g1cpod on X

  • Driving

    01:00:24|
Today’s pod is all about driving. The usual pros and cons are covered but the real controversy lies in music choices.Imagine the scenario: you’re in a huge rush to get somewhere and you need to make up time or you’ll be late. Which of these camps do you fall into…A) Some loud and fast music playing to get the adrenaline going and help out your foot downB) Something relaxing like Eternal Flame to calm everything down and help one make sensible driving decisions. Listen on to find out who chooses what as well as a swift answer to the age old question “have you ever been caught short whilst driving?”
  • Top Five Saddest Movie/TV Scenes

    01:00:08|
It’s all a bit dusty in 2G1C Towers this week as go through our top five saddest movie/TV scenes. Animals feature prominently on the list as we attempt to go even five minutes without saying “it really tugs on the heartstrings.”That said, a baby elephant with massive ears being rocked by its mother’s trunk really does tug at the heartstrings. So, (sniff) join us as we (sniff) go through our top five (sniff) and call out ET for not being sad in the slightest.

  • Theme Parks

    01:03:33|
Very much ying and yang this week. On Team Ying it’s exciting rides, a fun environment and the feeling like nothing in the outside world matters for a while. Team Yang however includes throwing up, queuing two hours for a one minute ride and incredible expense.Requested by Cupper @KoblersMYes, it’s theme parks, and in the style of a footballer unnecessarily pluralising nouns, it’s your Disneys, your Thorpe Parks, your Legolands etc. Buckle up, make sure the bar is raised and keep your arms and legs in the pod at all times. Sorry, that sounded good at first but actually made no sense in the end.
