#204: Taking stock / Teras Podcast Network

Season 7, Ep. 24

Ian and Ed bring you the first episode of a new era, as the 1912 Exiles join the Teras media group stable. As we explain, this will make little difference to your experience as a listener, but we’re excited about working with some really great people to hopefully grow the podcast’s reach in Wales.

The bulk of the episode is a bit of a stocktake, as we divine what fans have learned from three successive 0-0 draws, and how County might break the deadlock with games coming up against Wimbledon and Carlisle. We also look back on our interview with Nelson Jardim, and what the big takeaways were.

    An exciting milestone for the pod, as Ian & Ed sit down with County's head coach, Nelson Jardim, for an in-depth chat about his roots, his influences, his footballing philosophy... and his wine recommendations! A must-listen episode for all County fans.As Jamie says at the start of the pod, there's a lot going on behind the scenes at the moment as we switch from one media partner to another and also - very proudly - begin a partnership with the Riverside Sports Bar. We'll have a bit more info for you over the following weeks - but for now please bear with us if our usually regular release schedule is a little inconsistent. It will be worth it, we assure you! Then we listen back to Ed asking Hwyligan about what he saw at Priestfield on Tuesday night, before Rhys and Jamie ponder the Fleetwood game and what might have been.Thank you to everyone who listens - whether you've been with us since Pod #1 or whether Pod #200 is your first time hearing us. • 19. #199: Fire up the Tactics Truck

    36:19||Season 7, Ep. 19
    After a dozen games of the Fourth Division season, we decided now was the time to have a bit of a deep dive into tactics. Ed, Ian and Jack discuss fulcrums ("fulcra"?), double pivots, and inverted wingers, drawing on what they collectively saw in recent games against Harrogate, Bradford and Chesterfield. We also check in on progress by our featured local teams in focus, Undy Women AFC and Chepstow Town, and Jack starts a beef with Spytty The Dog.As ever, you can contact us via Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn. We also say at the start of the pod that if you visit our ko-fi page then you can either give us a few quid a month, or you can buy one of our few remaining sticker packs - all funds support the pod with our costs.Many thanks for listening - and thanks also to Tinty & The Bucket Hats for letting us use Discoland as our theme tune.Keep it County!
  • 18. #198: Yorkshire Week

    46:25||Season 7, Ep. 18
    In a classic “give the public what the public want to hear move”, the 1912 Exiles bring you a double portion of our man on the northern beat, Ian Street. The perfect guide for a bumper week of Yorkshire away days – first at Bradford City on Monday and then at Harrogate Town on the Saturday. Both defeats, of course, but as you’ll hear there are some positives to be found amidst County’s truly woeful away form. On the way he hears from Ollie, Stu, Chris, Nathan and Andrew; if you want to be like them and come on the pod for a chat, our DMs are open. As always, you can send the pod your thoughts via Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn; you can also donate to our ko-fi if you'd like to support what we do. We’re grateful as ever to Tinty & The Bucket Hats for letting us use Discoland as our theme tune. We’re aiming to be back with an in-depth discussion after the Chesterfield game of what we make of Newport County after a dozen league matches of the season. Until then, look after yourselves and each other, and above all Keep It County
