15 Minutes Around The Block : Dan Pitt & Steve Bainbridge

Episode 1 : Conversion Rates

Season 1, Ep. 1

Steve’s career is truly remarkable: Decathlete, (he once beat Daley Thompson), international rugby player (England and Lions) and even world-record holding rower and that’s on top of his 40 years in the automotive retail sector working with big retailer groups. So, you’re guaranteed a unique and refreshing view on the automotive sector.

Dan has done none of this. His claim to fame is that he’s worked in automotive marketing for 25 years with 18 automotive brands and only one of them has gone bust…

Steve and Dan are taking the back off the watch of car retailing, looking at the mechanics of what happens on the way to the showroom, in the showroom and how the customer fits in.

They are both passionate about the customer journey but they're not going to be talking process and programmes but want to offer up a view on what could be done to make things that little bit better for everyone involved.

Steve and Dan will try and do it all with a twist, debunking popular myths, while providing common sense-first observations born out of many years in and around the business. They will share some of the scenarios we’ve seen and heard about, debating “but why does that happen? And asking “what should happen that would be better?”.

In this episode they discuss conversion rates.
