Teen Wolf & Chicago Fire's Melissa Ponzio, Unbreakable Spirit Revisited

At a time when resilience and survival instinct is at a premium, we revisit the indomitable spirit of Actress Melissa Ponzio.  Her track record as an athlete and an actor is a needed reminder that just because the current situation appears bleak, it does not mean that redemption and relief are not on their way.

Steve Schirripa: They Reshuffle the Cards Every Morning

You probably know Steve as Bobby 'Baccala' Baccalieri from the Sopranos, or maybe you know him from his current role on Blue Bloods, but he is so much more than just an actor. Born and raised in a low-income household in Brooklyn, he eventually played collegiate basketball and graduated from Brooklyn College. He headed to Vegas and began working in night clubs where he met a multitude of comics and celebrities and was eventually bitten by the acting bug himself, much later than most. What you'll hear throughout our conversation is the extreme hustle and lack of ego that accompanied Steve's very quick rise to fame on The Sopranos. Even while remaining gainfully employed as an actor, he has always kept a side hustle, producing, pitching and creating shows as well as writing a best-selling books and co-hosting one of the most successful podcasts around, Talking Sopranos. His longtime marriage and successful raising of his daughters still remains his most proud accomplishment. It is not the critic who counts. There's No Timeline for Resurrection

In this excerpt, from one of our weekly Live Zoom calls with the 10,000 NOs Insiders Community, we discuss the fact that, despite things not happening on your timeline, it is not helpful or smart to define ourselves by our worst dysfunction as many people do. That will only encourage people to place us into the smallest box in which they can put us while also convincing us that, "if it hasn't happened for us yet, it's never going to happen." This attitude is not only self-defeating, but can also prevent us from seeing that many times the slowness that we're experiencing is because we're being forced to learn something else that's actually going to serve us more than we ever could have planned.Monday Morsels are the short-form companion to our Friday Interviews of 10,000 NOs... brief riffs on the show's central topics & themes as food for thought to chew on throughout your week.It is not the critic who counts.
